Our Quest for a Mang Inasal Coca-cola Tumbler

A good friend of ours gave us a "tip" that Coca-cola would launch a promo together with Mang Inasal (a chain of  restaurants from Bacolod) as its partner. The Coca-cola-Mang Inasal tumbler is available in Metro Manila since the 10th of October and will be launched in the provincial branches starting October 15, 2010.

Since Alabang is part of the greater Metro Manila area, Bong and I went to Alabang Town Center, Festival and SM Tunasan to see if there is a Mang Inasal branch within the said shopping centers. The ones in Festival and Alabang Town Center, were Chicken Bacolod & BBQ House, not Mang Inasal branches. But we chose to have lunch there and Bong took a shot of me beside the store's refrigerator holding a can of Coca-cola. (pampalubag-loob!)

SM Tunasan is covered by the number-coding scheme, but Muntinlupa has a number-coding window from 10am to 3pm. It was a race to beat the 3pm deadline. We were disappointed to know that the Mang Inasal branch in SM Tunasan  has not received its share of tumblers in connection with the promo. But they advised us to return by October 15.

The good thing about a quest is the excitement involved in the search. We always make it a point to take pictures to help us remember the day. The escalator leading from the SM Hypermart also provided us a nice shot of of the ongoing Open Happiness promo.

Wacky shot: SAY COKE!!!!

Note: Not to be discouraged we also dropped by Mang Inasal's San Pedro and SM Sta. Rosa branches for the fervent hope that they received their stocks ahead of time (hehehe addicts!)

Coca-cola Park

There is a place called Coca-cola Park. It is also known as Ellis Stadium and is located in Johannesburg, South Africa. The stadium is the home of two of Johannesburg sports teams, The Golden Lions Rugby team and the Orlando Pirates FC football team. It is also a popular concert venue.

This year (2010), it is touted as one of the most memorable venues for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
